To me it is a way of passionately expressioning urself to someone u care about and would never even think about leaving their side. But yet those three words hav become so over used that the truest meaning of love isnt found in those words any longer and the feeling of love has turned into butterflys in ur stomach. they hav become just an extra thing to add onto a goodbye or even a joke.
